Audemars Piguet History

On December, 17th, 1881 Julle Odemar and Edward Ogjust Pike have signed the partner agreement for 10 years which has proceeded with a rich history of unsurpassed skill. After finishing the watchmaker’s from La Vallée de Joux in Le Brassus training, both intended to create reputation of fearless pathbreakers in watch movement creation. And they have not disappointed the world. Today the firm produces only 15 000 watches per year, but its watches with individual numbers by the right take a place among the most beautiful and firm world values

By the end of century Audemars Piguet watches were well-known with their characteristic design, high-quality materials from which were produced and by very flat mechanism. In 1899 the firm has made a commotion on the Parisian World Fair with their pocket watches " Grande Complication Savonette ". In 1911 Audemars Piguet represents the first jeweler watch decorated by brilliants. Continuing to overcome restriction of technical design, Audemars Piguet in 1946 represents flatest ever made watches - with the 1.64 mm mechanism. Watch manufacturers preceeded this achievement in some decades, having presented the flatest automatic 2.45 mm mechanism with a 21-carat gold rotor. The Royal Oak, watches which became a sample of a watchmaking company traditions, have been started in 1970. Inspired by royal and sea traditions, the unique watches design represents a fine combination of force and elegance. Not gathering to rest on its laurels, Audemars Piquet intends to create the most complicated watch in watch history. As a result appear Triple Complication, carrying out 12 different functions and with an eternal calendar. Watches are placed in the thick 8.55 mm case. The automatic mechanism with 52 stones and a 18-carat gold rotor are executed manually. 4 months were required for motion assembly and regulation, therefore was produced only on 5 copies in a year. Now the Audemars Piguet collection under the name Complications includes such watches as Automatic Tourbillon, Grande Sonniere and Starwheel. Millenary watch collection differ with the horizontal oval case and such new quality, as "centrifugal balance regulator block" which warns about malfunctions thanks to the internal features. The Millenary collection includes such characteristics, as a chronograph, "second" time, very thin automatic eternal calendar with the bottom indication and date or day, date and month.
