Another very important individual that played a key role in the development of the company was Georges-Auguste Lescot. As a genius in the field of mechanics he often experimented with different mechanisms and later developed some revolutionary inventions which contributed to the company's expansion on the world market.

A series of heirs managed the company for several years. Later in 1887 the company was reorganized into a stock company. The sales began decreasing but the company stood still and waited for the moment when it finally reached its success. The beginning of the 20th century was the period when wristwatches were highly demanded.

The company increased its sales, making some of the most marvelous timepieces on the watch market. The company even created the ultra-complicated pocket watch in 1931 exclusively for the King of Egypt by the name of Fouad.

The beginning of World War II marked the period of declining sales for "Vacheron & Constantin". Nevertheless it was brought to life once again by Georges Ketterer who bought a majority ownership position. Under his management the company created its well-known wristwatch called "Chronometre Royale".

After the death of Ketterer in 1987 the company continued creating masterpieces. Today it designs 20 thousands watches a year, among them the ultra-complicated timepieces like Tourbillon watches.
